Georgian wine tasting was a lovely, unhurried afternoon for us as a couple. The Old Town itself is compact and easy to explore on foot without needing much planning.
City has real charm but we were taken to a souvenir shop that felt like a scheduled commission stop rather than something we asked for. Our hotel room the first two nights also felt a bit worn compared to what the photos suggested.
Value for money is strong here for couples who do not want to overspend on a big European holiday. The wine tasting session could have been a bit longer for what we paid but still enjoyable.
Seven mostly wonderful nights, but our room for the first couple of nights was more worn than the photos let on, tired around the bathroom. Once we changed rooms it was fine, and the fortress and cathedral were flawless.
