Lake Lucerne cruise on day one set a relaxed tone for the rest of the trip. Chillon Castle by Lake Geneva felt like something out of a storybook. Dinners with sparkling lake views in Montreux were the highlight neither of us expected going in.

Five nights across Lucerne, Interlaken and Montreux without ever feeling rushed. Jungfraujoch above the clouds was the big wow, but the surprise was Montreux, our last-night dinner overlooking Lake Geneva was the most romantic meal we have shared.
Fog rolled in on Jungfraujoch day and we barely saw past the viewing platform railing, unfortunate given how big a deal it is in the itinerary. Lake Lucerne cruise and Montreux more than made up for it though, both were genuinely lovely.
Montreux surprised us more than either Lucerne or Interlaken honestly, such a peaceful way to end things.
