Really well planned route, though four cities in eleven nights does mean some early mornings and quick check-ins along the way. The bouchon dinner in Lyon made up for any tiredness though, incredible food.
A really well-planned romantic route, though four cities in eleven nights does mean some early mornings and quick check-ins along the way. That evening walk hand in hand through Vieux Lyon after our bouchon dinner more than made up for the tiredness.
Booked this for our tenth anniversary and every single stop delivered something different. Paris gave us the grand romantic gestures, obviously, the tower lighting up at night is unbeatable. Nice slowed things down with the Cours Saleya flower market, we ended up buying way too much lavender soap there. Marseille surprised us the most though, the panorama from Notre-Dame de la Garde over the sea and islands was breathtaking and not something we expected to love as much as we did. Lyon ended the trip on the most delicious note possible with a proper bouchon dinner.
Nice was the romantic highlight for me and my partner, that flower market walk in the morning sun was lovely. Marseille felt a touch rushed in comparison.
The bouchon dinner in Lyon was the most delicious way imaginable to end eleven nights together.
Watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night with my wife beside me is a memory we'll hold onto forever. Paris set the romantic tone, Nice slowed us down at the Cours Saleya flower market where we bought far too much lavender soap, and Marseille's panorama over the sea and islands floored us both.
