Sighnaghi truly earns its nickname as the city of love, walking the old walls with views over the Alazani Valley was breathtaking. Only wish the day trip to Kakheti had a bit more time at each stop instead of feeling rushed.

Chose Georgia on a bit of a whim for our anniversary and it turned out to be one of our best decisions, from private wine tastings in Kakheti to quiet evening walks through Old Town. Sighnaghi's hilltop views over the valley were the perfect finale to the trip.
Wine tasting in Kakheti was generous and warm, Georgian hospitality is genuinely something else.
Fortress views and the old town were lovely, but our Kakheti wine day got cut short because of a scheduling mix up with the transfer, we lost almost two hours waiting around. Sighnaghi itself when we finally reached was worth it though.
