Narikala Fortress at sunset is stunning but it was far more crowded than I expected for a solo, quiet evening. The Supra dinner afterwards more than made up for it with genuinely great food and warmth from strangers.
Dry Bridge Market alone with no rush, found treasures I still use back home.
Solo travel can feel isolating in some cities but Tbilisi made it easy to meet people and still have plenty of quiet time to myself. Jvari Monastery in the morning was peaceful, almost meditative, standing above the confluence of the two rivers. By evening Narikala Fortress gave me a completely different mood, watching the city light up while chatting with a few other travellers I met along the way. The Dry Bridge Market the next day was a wonderful chaos of old coins, carpets and curious trinkets. My farewell Supra dinner closed the trip out with more food, wine and laughter than I knew what to do with.
Going to Tbilisi solo was one of the best decisions of the year. The Dry Bridge Market gave me hours of wandering with no schedule to keep, and the farewell Supra dinner with live music was such a warm way to end the trip.
Narikala at sunset was stunning but far more crowded than I'd expected for a quiet solo evening.
Airport transfer took much longer than promised on arrival, though the rest of the solo trip mostly redeemed it.
