Mykonos: An Idyllic Greek Island Romance for Two

Getting genuinely lost in the whitewashed alleys of Mykonos Town was half the fun of this trip. We stumbled onto a tiny chapel tucked between two houses that nobody else around seemed to notice. Every turn had a different shade of bougainvillea against the white walls. Only wish we'd allotted an extra evening just for wandering without any plan.

Sunset cruise was lovely though the boat was fuller than we expected. Hard to get that private couple moment we had pictured with so many others onboard. The views still made it worthwhile overall.

Best anniversary trip we've done together, hands down. Mykonos genuinely lives up to the postcards, from the windmills to the harbour to the little chapels tucked away in the alleys. Every evening ended with some version of a sunset we didn't want to look away from. Already thinking about a second visit someday.

Little Venice at sunset, cocktail in hand, was one of the most romantic evenings we've had anywhere. The waves lapping right beneath the tables adds something photos can't capture. We stayed until well after dark just talking.

Every turn in Mykonos Town gave us another shade of pink bougainvillea against those white walls.

The windmills are smaller than the photos suggest, but the sea stretching out behind them makes the walk up worth it.
