The caldera view from our suite was the kind of thing you see in magazines and cannot quite believe you are actually living for three nights, especially at sunset when the whole sky turns orange and pink behind the volcano. Our kids sat on the balcony every single evening just watching the colours change, no phones needed. Santorini fully earns its reputation, even with two children in tow it never felt overwhelming.
Santorini is beautiful but be warned it is full of steps and steep lanes everywhere, we had our younger one in a stroller for part of the trip and it became a real struggle in places.
