Chose this trip for our second honeymoon and Venice in winter did not disappoint at all. We got properly lost in the backstreets one evening and stumbled onto a tiny piazza with almost no one around, felt like the whole city was ours. Aperitivo by a quiet canal as the sun went down was the most romantic hour of the trip. Burano's colours the next day were the perfect contrast to Venice's subdued winter light.
