Travelled with my in-laws and our two children for a proper multi generation family holiday and Boracay handled the mix surprisingly well. Grandparents were happy just sitting by the shore while the kids and us went off to Crystal Cove for snorkelling, and everyone came together in the evenings for dinner along the beach strip. The Puka shell hunting on the last morning became an unexpected favourite activity for all three generations. Would happily do this again.
Food at the resort restaurant is a bit steep for what is basically simple kids meals, we started eating a couple of meals outside instead.
Took our two kids to Boracay and watching them run around collecting Puka shells on Yapak Beach with pure excitement made the whole trip worth it. The resort view of the shoreline each morning had all four of us out on the balcony before breakfast every single day. Three nights felt tight with two young children but we still managed the beach, a boat trip, and enough downtime that nobody was cranky by the end.
This was our first proper beach holiday as a family and Boracay made it easy, calm shallow water for the kids to play safely, plenty of shade options, and the island hopping day gave everyone something new to talk about at dinner.
