Barcelona to Madrid transfer ate up nearly half a day which we had not budgeted for time wise. Food near the Sagrada Familia area was overpriced for fairly average quality too. Montserrat views made up for some of it at least.
This package gave us the best of both worlds, Gaudi's fantastical buildings in Barcelona and the grand formality of Madrid's Royal Palace. Sagrada Familia interior lighting is something photos genuinely cannot capture. Flamenco night was booked for us and the intimacy of the small venue made it feel personal rather than touristy. Farewell dinner in Madrid was a lovely way to end things together.
