This was our tenth anniversary trip and Switzerland delivered beyond what we imagined. Lucerne's old town with the Chapel Bridge and Water Tower set a gentle, romantic tone for the whole trip, and the lake cruise that evening was unforgettable with the Alps glowing orange. Interlaken was a different kind of magic, the train up to Jungfraujoch through the glacier tunnels builds so much anticipation before you actually step out into the snow. We splurged on a nicer hotel for one night and the mountain view from the room alone made it worth it. Expensive country, no doubt, but this trip is a once in a lifetime kind of experience.
