Gold Coast Escape: Aerial Adventures & Coastal Wonders

Went with my partner in June since that's supposedly their winter and the weather was still lovely, mild and sunny most days. Hand feeding the kangaroos was a genuinely sweet moment, they're so much calmer than you'd think. The rainforest walk before the Skywalk itself set up the whole experience nicely, by the time we reached the suspended walkway we were already in the mood for it and the views over the canopy did not disappoint. Sea World closed out the trip with the dolphin show, which honestly felt aimed more at families but we still enjoyed it as a couple.

Nice short break for a couple wanting a mix of nature and coast. Sea World's dolphin show was fun though clearly geared toward younger crowds, still worth the visit for the setting alone.

The wildlife park and Skywalk were both excellent but our hotel room faced a busy road and the noise made it hard to sleep properly on two of the three nights. Would still recommend the itinerary itself, just ask for a quieter room if you can.

Just three nights on the Gold Coast gave us the right mix of adventure and relaxation as a couple. The Tamborine Skywalk through the rainforest canopy was more thrilling than we expected, and Sea World's dolphin show in the afternoon was a fun, easy way to end the day.

Three nights simply wasn't enough, we'd only just relaxed into the rhythm of the place, koalas one morning, Skywalk and dolphins the next, and suddenly we were packing again. Wonderful as far as it went, we just wanted a fourth night.

Great little escape, I just wish the Skywalk had been more than a quick stop wedged between other things.
