Chillon Castle a few days later gave a completely different but equally memorable experience, medieval history right on the water. Maison Cailler's chocolate tasting was pure joy for the children, they still mention it more than the mountains sometimes. Ending in Zurich with a calm boat ride on the lake was the perfect way to close out such an intense trip.

Sights and pacing on this route, especially Jungfraujoch and the Lake Thun cruise, were fantastic but one of the hotel rooms felt quite tired and outdated for what we paid at this luxury tier. Worth flagging since everything else about the trip was excellent.
