Choosing Zurich as our single base meant no exhausting transfers with our toddler which honestly made the whole holiday manageable. Mt Titlis was the day everyone had been waiting for and it did not disappoint one bit, revolving cable car views of the glacier were stunning. Old Town wandering in the evenings became our favourite ritual, always finding some new alley or fountain. Lindenhof Hill at golden hour gave us the calmest evening of the entire six nights.
Titlis snow adventure was the standout for our kids, they built snowmen in shorts weather down in the city which they found hilarious. Old Town felt a bit touristy in parts but still charming.

Getting to Titlis involved a longer bus transfer than we expected before even reaching the cable car, tough with a cranky four year old in the queue. Rest of the Zurich stay was pleasant enough, especially the Old Town in the evenings.
Basing the entire week in Zurich turned out perfect for us with two young kids, no packing and unpacking at every stop. Mt Titlis Rotair cable car rotating slowly as we climbed had the kids glued to the windows the whole way up. Lake Zurich cruise the next day was such a peaceful contrast, watching the Alps appear in the distance as the city skyline faded behind us. Old Town's cobbled alleys were fun for an evening stroll after dinner. Lindenhof Hill at sunset gave us our best family photo of the entire trip.
