Gold Souk visit felt more like a sales pitch than sightseeing, shopkeepers were quite pushy about getting us into their stores. Everything else on the itinerary, especially Marina and Palm Jumeirah, was genuinely enjoyable.
Loved the glamour of it all, though the little extras kept mounting once we were on the ground, every add-on nudging the budget higher than we had planned. The Palm and Marina made it worth it, but keep an eye on the running total.

Driving across Palm Jumeirah with the Atlantis in view was surreal, we kept stopping to take photos the whole way. Dubai Marina in the evening is buzzing with energy, perfect for a post dinner walk. Burj Al Arab lit up against the sunset sky is one of those views that genuinely lives up to the hype. Gold Souk visit on our last evening added a nice traditional contrast to all the modern glamour.
