Temples around Laxman Jhula are worth the walk, quiet and away from the crowds unlike the main ghat.
My wife has wanted to see the Ganga Aarti since forever and we finally made it happen on this trip, the whole atmosphere at Triveni Ghat with hundreds of lamps floating downstream is something photos just cannot capture, added on the rafting the next morning which was a nice contrast of calm and adrenaline, only wish we had booked four nights instead of three.
Our guide rushed the rafting a little near the end but we still had fun overall.
Rafting on the Ganga was the highlight, water was cold but the thrill made up for it.
Walked across Ram Jhula in the evening and just stood there watching the river for a long time, my husband said it was the most peaceful moment of our whole trip.
Booked this for our first anniversary and Rishikesh delivered beyond expectation, the aarti at the ghat, the little cafes overlooking the river, quiet walks near Laxman Jhula temples, and a rafting session that had us laughing the entire way down, three nights felt short but every hour was well spent.
